Cross Creek Ranch is a rare natural and historic gem. With lush meadows, Cottonwood
and Sycamore trees, amber cliffs and rolling hills, it is truly one of the
most spectacular private properties in Sedona. The community features hiking
and walking trail systems that provide access for residents to Oak Creek,
Red Rock State Park and Coconino National Forest.
The Ranch was originally part of the 320-acre 1896 homestead of Juan Armijo.
In 1906 Juan and his son purchased a ditch associated with the property
to irrigate their fields and crops. This Armijo ditch is still used today to irrigate
several fields in Cross Creek Ranch. There are two historic homes now privately
owned in Cross Creek Ranch that add to its authentic character.
Cross Creek Ranch, just west of Red Rock State Park, was first offered for
sale in 2003. The gated community features 84 natural home-sites for
custom homes, located southwest of the City of Sedona, in Yavapai County
